Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
vascular endothelial growth factor
VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor) is a secreted homodimeric protein, secreted by a variety of vascularized tissues. VEGF stimulates endothelial cell growth, angiogenesis, and capillary permeability. Human VEGF is a 38.2 kDa homodimeric protein consisting of two 165 amino acid polypeptide chains.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
E. coli expressed recombinant human VEGF
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-human VEGF polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot, Neutralization, and Immunohistochemistry
Western blot analysis (0.5-1 µg/ml). Based on researcher’s feedback, it can also be used in Elisa (2-3 µg/ml) and Immunohistochemistry (5 µg/ml) and Neutralization (5-10 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
