Target of this antibody:
Alternative names of antibody target:
platelet-derived growth factor subunit B
Human Platelet Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) is a potent mitogen for a wide range of cell types including fibroblasts, smooth muscle and connective tissue. PDGF is composed of a dimer of two chains termed the A chain and B chain, and thus can be present as AA or BB homodimers or as an AB heterodimer. Human PDGF-BB is a 14-18.0 kDa protein containing 109 amino acid residues.
Clonality of antibody:
This antibody reacts with:
E. coli expressed human PDGF-BB
Concentration of antibody:
Form of antibody:
Formulation of this antibody:
200µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit anti-human PDGF-BB polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 30% glycerol and 0.01% thimerosal.
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot analysis (0.5-4 µg/ml). Recombinant human PDGF-BB (Cat.# 4488-10) can be used as a positive control. However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.
Shelf time: 12 months in temp.: -20 deg.C
How to handle this antibody:
The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by Biovision they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
