Placental Lactogen
Alternative names of antibody target:
Chorionic somatomammotropin hormone; Choriomammotropin; Lactogen; Placental lactogen; PL
Background information:
Human Placental Lactogen (HPL), also called human chorionic somatomammotropin, is a polypeptide placental hormone. Its structure and function is similar to that of growth hormone. It modifies the metabolic state of the mother during pregnancy to facilitate the energy supply of the fetus. Recombinant human Placental Lactogen is a 22.3 kDa protein.

Rabbit IgG
This antibody reacts with:
Human
Immunogene sequence:
E. coli expressed recombinant human Placental Lactogen
Concentration of antibody:
0.5 mg/ml
Form of antibody:
Liquid
Formulation of this antibody:
30 µg (0.5 mg/ml) affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 30% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.01% thimerosal.

Affinity purified
This antibody has been succesfully tested for use in following methods:
Western blot
Recommended usage:
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). Detects 22 kDa human Placental Lactogen in Western blot analysis. Reactivity to other species have not been determined. Recombinant human Placental Lactogen (Cat.# 4869-20) can be used as a positive control.
